A little throwback to when I created a tiny throwing wheel out of porcelain clay. I am missing the meditative qualities of throwing so much right now. I would lose myself in the process and have a conversation with the work as it taught me about myself and life.
I need to find a way back to it soon!

Each portrait gets its own progress and experimentation through different processes of layering oil paint. I instinctively respond to the emotion and complexities of the portrait, making each one unique to themselves. This specific video is an experimentation of mixing the paint on the canvas rather than pre-mixing on my palette.

This work helped me reconnect with why I started creating art in the first place. It is a gift to my dad that encompasses his passion of fishing as well as a reminder that I will always be his fashionista daughter.
It was a privilege to be able to exhibit and talk about my work at @sacontemporary ! Thank you for such a lovely show with such talented artists and thank you for all of you who came out and supported! :)
